My name is Karen Wright and I am thrilled to be the new director at Early Bird Learning Center.  I am in my 13^th year in Aubrey ISD and in my 18^th year of education. I started my career in education in the Lewisville ISD where I taught 1^st grade at Christa McAuliffe Elementary for 5 years.  In 2000, I came to Aubrey ISD.  Here I have taught 1^st grade, kindergarten, and elementary special education.  When I left the classroom, I served as the Student Support Coordinator, assisted the Elementary Principals with many different administrative duties, and most recently, served as the Assistant Principal at Aubrey High School.  My husband and our family live in the town of Cross Roads.  We have 2 children that have grown up in the Aubrey schools, starting in the Aubrey Child Care.  Kendyl is 16 and a sophomore at the High School.  Kaleb is 12 and is a 7^th grader at Aubrey Middle School.  I have thoroughly enjoyed my first few days at Early Bird.  The teachers and staff are all exceptional individuals.  I am excited about the wonderful opportunity and can’t wait to get to know each of you and your children.   If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me directly by phone or email.  I look forward to meeting each of you personally.
