Meet Mr. Clayton!
Elliott Clayton is in his third year as music teacher at Jackie Fuller Elementary School. In addition to teaching general music in the classroom, his responsibilities include directing the FES honor choir and sponsoring UIL music memory.
Outside of teaching, Mr. Clayton is an active performer in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex singing with The Texas Voices Chamber Choir, Inspirata A Cappella, and serving as a staff singer at St. David of Wales Episcopal Church in Denton.
Mr. Clayton received his Bachelor's degree in Music Education in 2019 from Texas A&M University-Commerce where he studied voice with Dr. Jennifer Glidden and clarinet with Dr. Mary Alice Druhan. While at Commerce, he was principal clarinet of the Symphonic Band and bass section leader of the University Chorale.
Prior to joining Aubrey ISD, Mr. Clayton student taught in Richardson ISD where he was awarded the TMEA Collegiate Music Educator Award. Mr. Clayton is currently a member of Texas Music Educator's Association and has completed level one of his Kodály training at SMU.
Mr. Clayton lives in Denton and enjoys spending his free time reading, trying out new coffee shops, and playing piano.
