- These plans highlight specific processes or procedures unique to each campus.
- The Aubrey ISD Return to Learn 2020 Plan covers district-wide information.

Aubrey High School Campus Return to Learn Plan
Visitors to Campus
- We request that no one visit the campus unless it is absolutely necessary.
- We encourage parent conferences and meetings to be conducted via an online platform such as Zoom.
- Any visitor will have a health screening questionnaire completed and a temperature check and will be required to remain in the office area.
Arrival
- Students should not arrive on campus prior to 7:30am, unless they have a scheduled practice.
- Doors will open at 7:30 a.m.
- Students are required to wear masks. Social distancing is required, as feasible.
- All entry doors have hand sanitizer stations.
- Buses will drop off on the East side of the Competition Gym, next to C-Hall, and students will come in through the East Gym Foyer entrance.
- Students being dropped off by a family member will come in through the West Gym Foyer entrance.
- Students that drive will park in their designated parking space and come in through the West Gym Foyer entrance.
- Breakfast is ‘Grab and Go’ from the cafeteria, and should be eaten prior to arriving at the student’s first-period class.
- Students will report directly to their first-period class or teacher’s room (tutorials) until the bell signals the start of the school day
- Teachers will encourage movement and monitor students from their classroom doorway. Students should not be allowed to loiter or congregate as large groups.
Dismissal
- Students are required to wear masks. Social distancing is required, as feasible.
- Buses will pick up on the East side of the Competition Gym, next to C-Hall.
- Students waiting for bus pick up will be staged in the cafeteria to accommodate social distancing guidelines, when feasible.
- Parent pick up, and students that drive, will be on the West side of the campus.
- Students not attending tutorials should leave campus, loitering in groups will not be permitted.
- Teacher duty stations are assigned to assist with and encourage social distancing and wearing masks.
Lunch
- Students will sit at tables with no more than four students per table to facilitate social distancing, when feasible.
- Students should try to sit with other students that will be in their next class.
- Students will remain socially distanced when moving through the serving line.
- Masks are required while students are not eating or drinking.
Common Areas and Transitions
- To limit close contact, congregating during the passing periods is not allowed.
- Passing periods will be staggered according to the teacher’s assigned lunch.
- Restrooms will not be available for use during these transitions; students should report directly to their next period. Restrooms will have a capacity of two students, and may be used during class with a pass.
- Teachers not having a class or having a next period conference will assist in monitoring hallways during transitions.
- Signage is displayed, encouraging students to distance and move quickly to their next class.
- Students are asked to remain on the right-side of the hallway, which has been divided into two, one-way sides.
Remote Learning
- Core and non-core content taught by AHS teachers will be done using Edmentum (PLATO) and Google Classroom.
- Students may use the schedule below to help them develop routines and habits that enable them to keep up with course work.
- Students may also use the schedule below to access the assigned teachers for assistance with asynchronous curriculum.

Visitors to Campus

Brockett Elementary Campus Return to Learn Plan
Visitors to Campus
- We request that no one visit the campus unless it is absolutely necessary.
- We encourage parent conferences and meetings to be conducted via an online platform such as Zoom.
- Any visitor will have a health screening questionnaire completed and a temperature check and will be required to remain in the office area.
Arrival
- Doors will open to students at 7:15 a.m.
- Teachers will be in their rooms and ready to greet students at the door with a temperature check and hand sanitizer at: 7:15 a.m.
- Parents will screen their children for COVID symptoms before sending their children to school each day.
- Staff will complete the COVID screener daily before coming to work.
- Students and staff will enter the building with appropriate face covering (mouths AND noses covered), which should remain on while in the building among others (K-2 students in common areas).
- If students enter the cafeteria to get breakfast, they must be wearing a mask. They will take their food back to the classroom and eat before school begins.
- Attendance will be taken promptly to assess who is attending in person, or virtual.
- Pledges and announcements will be broadcast daily.
Dismissal
Car and Walk Ups
- Students will remain in their classrooms until their ride has arrived and been identified.
- Students will be dismissed INDIVIDUALLY from classrooms
- Once the student’s ride arrives, the classroom teacher will be notified and they will release the student to the car rider/walk-up cone.
- The staff members will confirm the identity of the person picking up a child via a photo ID at the vehicle based on the student’s registration form and who is permitted to pick the child up from school.
Kindergarten Car Riders
- Kindergarten grade students who are car riders or walk ups will go to the gym, where they will be separated and monitored while they wait for their rides.
- The same car and walk ups procedure described above will be used with Kindergarten students.
Kindergarten Walk Ups
- Kindergarten students who are walk ups will go to the art room, where they will be separated and monitored while they wait for their rides.
Bus Riders
- Bus riders will be dismissed from their classrooms by bus numbers and escorted by the teacher on duty.
Lunch
- Students will wash their hands with soap and water before going to lunch.
- Tables are marked for availability. Students will sit in one spot that is marked as available.
- Students must remain in their seats and raise their hand if they need something.
- Children need to be sitting behind their shields, which are placed at their spot.
- Tables will be sanitized in between each grade level.
Transitions
- Students will be required to wear a face covering while in common areas, and will use hand sanitizer as they ENTER AND LEAVE the classroom with each transition.
- Students will wash their hands at least twice a day with soap and water.
- Students must maintain their distance individually when traveling in classroom lines through the hallway.
Bathroom
- Classes will have structured times to go to the bathroom, in an effort to avoid crossing other classes in the hallway and bathroom area.
- Students will only be allowed to enter into the bathroom two at a time.
- They MUST wash their hands before returning to their line, and have their face covering properly in place.
- If a student needs to leave class independently for an emergency visit, they need to adhere to social distancing and cleaning guidelines in place while away from the classroom and before returning.
Specials
- Teachers in the special classes will disinfect their areas between classes.
- Students will sanitize their hands as they enter and leave each classroom. Masks must be worn to ALL Specials classes each day.
Classroom Resources
Class Library
- Students will use hand sanitizer before visiting the library one at a time. When students are finished reading, the books will be wiped down and let sit for three days before another student can read them.
Content Manipulatives and Supplies
- Students will not share supplies. There will be NO community buckets for crayons, markers, pencils, glue, etc.
- Students MAY use counters, cubes, etc. IF they are separated into individual, labeled baggies for each student to use as their own. These manipulatives will be cleaned/sprayed regularly.
Desk Shields
- Students will keep shields at their desks/tables in the classroom.
- These will be placed individually at each student’s work space and used accordingly for proper distancing and safety.
- Students will be trained to work within their space appropriately and not lean around or outside them to visit with neighbors.
- Shields will be disinfected (sprayed) at the end of each day by campus custodial staff.
Cleaning Supplies
- Cleaning supplies: hand sanitizer, soap, spray, wipes, etc. will be provided to each teacher for use.
Recess Procedures
- Only one grade level is allowed on a playground at one time.
- The Playground will be divided into zones and one class in the grade level will be assigned to a zone each day.
- At least 2 teachers will be on duty at a time.
- Sanitize hands before and after the kids go to and leave the playground.
- Individual classes will not mix while at recess.
- Individual classes will stay in a defined area.
- Students will not use or share personal equipment.
- Students may use the permanent equipment installed on the playground but social distancing does need to be followed.
