District Facilities Planning Committee
Development of the November 2017 bond proposal involved an in-depth process of information gathering, research and community input. The District completed a facilities assessment, demographic projection study, technology assessment and strategic planning process before forming the Facilities Planning Committee (FPC) in June 2017.
The Aubrey ISD Facilities Planning Committee was comprised of parents, non-parents, campus staff, community members and stakeholders from across the district.
The District’s FPC was led by committee-elected co-chairs and met five times to develop a response to the District’s anticipated growth and other facility needs. The Committee toured all district facilities, studied growth projections, a district-wide facilities assessment, financial data and results of a community-wide survey before making a unanimous bond recommendation to the Board of Trustees.
