Brockett Elementary
Morning Drop-Off Procedures - The doors at Brockett Elementary open at 7:10 a.m. Please note there is no supervision before 7:10 a.m. We do ask that you stay with your child until 7:10 a.m. for his or her safety.
- Students being dropped off in the morning may be let off on the north side of the Brockett Elementary. As you enter into the car unloading zone, we ask that you enter Brockett from Michelle Street or Countryside Drive. This will help to alleviate traffic backup and the crossover of traffic. Walkers and bike riders will enter the north entrance in addition to car riders.
- School faculty members will be present to help assist in unloading your child.
- After your child is unloaded, please continue to exit the drive to keep the flow of traffic moving in a timely manner.
- Each child will be directed to the sidewalk to enter into the cafeteria for breakfast. Walking students to the classrooms will not be permitted as the cafeteria is the designated area for students in the morning. Students may purchase breakfast in the cafeteria beginning at 7:10 a.m. Car riders, walkers, or bike riders wishing to eat breakfast in the cafeteria should arrive before 7:30 a.m. to ensure they are not late to class.
- PLEASE DO NOT DROP CHILDREN OFF IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL. PLEASE CONTINUE TO THE NORTH SIDE FOR MORNING DROP OFF. THE FRONT OF THE SCHOOL IS A DESIGNATED UNLOADING ZONE FOR BUSES. THE AREA MUST BE KEPT CLEAR FOR THE ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE OF BUSES IN A TIMELY MANNER. IN THE EVENT YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY AND NEED TO COME TO THE FRONT OFFICE, PLEASE PARK YOUR CAR AND COME TO THE FRONT OFFICE, WHERE WE WILL BE HAPPY TO ASSIST YOU.
The school day will run from 7:40AM – 3:15PM. Students arriving after 7:50AM are considered tardy and will at this time need to report to the office for a permit to class.
We kindly request that parents help instill an “independent start” in their child. Please encourage your child to independently walk to the cafeteria or gym. Teachers and staff members will be stationed in the gym, cafeteria, car unloading zone, and bus zone for supervision. We will also have extra staff available the first two weeks of school to help with our students to ensure they have a pleasant beginning at Brockett Elementary.
During the beginning of each day our teachers are preparing for instruction or supervising students. Therefore, they may not be available for a conference first thing in the morning. However, we want our lines of communication open to you always. Therefore, if a conference is needed, we ask that you call our front office and schedule a conference with the teacher. If there is an emergency, please let our front office know and we will assist in getting the teacher to you immediately.
With these procedures, our students are centrally located. There are two places in the school, the cafeteria or gym where students report and supervision is provided.

Fuller Elementary
Arrival
Beginning at 7:10, students may be dropped off. We do ask that cars remain in a single file line when dropping students off in car rider lines. Staff will be on hand to open doors, assist students out of cars and into the building.
Students may not be dropped off in the front of the school. This is for buses only.
Arrival/drop-off locations are as follows:
-
Pre-K- Kinder (dropped off on the North Side of the building/Faro Street)
-
1st-5th Grade (dropped off on the South side of the building/Quicksilver Blvd)
-
Have a student in both-choose the lowest grade drop off zone.
-
Front of School/Silverado Blvd- Buses only
Students may not be dropped off prior to 7:10 am as we do not have staff to supervise students at this time. Please remain in the single-file car line, and do not pass other cars as this poses major safety concerns for students, staff and car occupants.
Can I walk my child to class?
At this time, our families will be able to walk students to their classrooms on Wednesday, August 17th only. Following the first day of school, parents will not be permitted to walk students to the classrooms. We will have plenty of staff on hand to welcome and assist students to either the dining room for breakfast or classrooms.
Dismissal Car Riders- 3:15
Car Riders:
All guardians/Pick up persons must have a Car Tag to retrieve their students during dismissal. If you did not get one on Meet the Teacher night, you may stop by Fuller on Monday and Tuesday to pick one one up. If not, please be prepared to show your ID. We will match the ID to authorized persons allowed to pick up your child.
In the event the Car Tag is forgotten or unavailable, the parent or guardian will be directed to drive to the front of the school, park in the parking lot, and bring a valid ID to enter the building and sign the student out. Please note the following dismissal information below:
Please note that students will be dismissed to car riders unless the car is in the designated car line. Attempting to park on the streets/side streets is prohibited for car riders.
Walkers and Bike Riders:
-
Students who live on the south of the building will be escorted out the south entrance and assisted across the crosswalk with FES staff. Parents must remain on the opposite side of Quicksilver Blvd if you are meeting your child. Parking along Quicksilver is prohibited and you will be asked to move by campus admin, Aubrey ISD PD or other local PD agencies.
-
Students who live on the north side of the building will be escorted out of the north entrance and assisted across the crosswalk with FES staff. Parents must remain on the opposite side of Faro if you are meeting your child. Parking along Faro is prohibited and you will be asked to move by campus admin, Aubrey ISD PD or other local PD agencies.
-
We do not have bike racks on this side of the building yet. Your child may park bikes along the building.
Please note that no students will be dismissed to a car unless the car is in the designated car line.
PLEASE practice these walking and biking procedures with your child. Do not assume your child knows the proper way to stay on the sidewalks, look both ways, etc. In our experience last year, students followed these directions when they were with staff, but as soon as they were on their own they rode/walked on the streets, in between cars, etc. Please also encourage your child to walk/bike straight home unless you have communicated other arrangements for them.
Bus Riders:
Bus Service is available for the following students:
- ALL Pre-K Students (An adult MUST be present to receive child)
- Students who live down or off FM2931, including Aspen Meadow neighborhood (students may NOT walk to AM)
- Students who live northwest of FES, across Silverado Blvd. (see map above). FES staff will not be available to assist students crossing Silverado Blvd. If parents choose to have their student walk or ride bikes, parents must meet student on the corner to help cross Silverado. This is a VERY busy street, with many construction trucks, and vehicles that struggle understanding school zones!
- Please see the Bus Transportation website for more information. You can look up routes, times, and download the bus tracker.

Car pick up is on the south end of the building. Please enter the school off Benefit Drive. Have your car tag with your student(s) name visible. Be prepared to show your identification. When you drive through the single file car pick up line, your child will be placed in your car. Please wait for all cars to be loaded and for school personnel to direct you before moving forward. Please utilize your visor hangtag (provided in the front office) when using the car pick up line. This will increase our efficiency and speed up our load time.
Independent walkers/bikers (in grades 3rd-5th grade only) are escorted across the one of two 4-way stop intersections (Cape Cod & Benefit or Cape Cod & Myers Court). Parents may meet their independent walker(s) at their appropriate intersection. The front/north entrance of the building is for bus pickup only.
