A little bit (possibly more than you want to know) about me:
I'm excited to be returning to Aubrey High School for the 2020-2021 school year. I'm looking forward to great successes from ALL of my students. Let's do this!
Prior to entering high school education, I worked in corporate training and development (Brinker International) and retail management (REI - Recreational Equipment, Inc.) for eleven years.Although I've lived on each edge of the U.S. (California, Georgia, Montana & Texas), I was born in Denton, graduated from UNT and I keep ending up back in north Texas. I have lived just outside of Aubrey, America since 2003, and have no plans of going anywhere soon. When I'm not at school, preparing for school, or attending a school-sponsored event...whew!...I enjoy backpacking, kayaking, inline skating, cycling, running and messing around with guitars, motorcycles and old cars. I often spend my summers guiding adventure travel trips in North America and Europe for Zephyr Adventures. Last summer, I guided a week long skate and bike trip from Montana across Northern Idaho to eastern Washington. I also visited Yellowstone and Rocky Mountain National Parks and Mount Rushmore on a ten-state road trip with my son. Learning to cautiously travel during a potential health concern was a new and educational challenge. I look forward to the same adaptations this year at AHS. This summer, I will be guiding a hiking adventure in the Beartooth Mountains near Red Lodge, Montana.
