Brandee Gallagher - Secondary Teacher Facilitator

  • Professional Background and Experience:
This is my 20th year in education and my 7th in Aubrey ISD! I received my Bachelor's degree from the University of New Brunswick in 1997 and my Master's in Curriculum Design, Instruction and Assessment from Walden University in 2008. I have been a English, French and Spanish teacher at some point throughout my career and have taught in Maine, New York and Texas.  While I have thoroughly enjoyed each of my teaching experiences,  Aubrey ISD is my heart district.

    Meet the Teacher:
Raised in New Brunswick, Canada, I never thought I would end up calling Texas my home.  However, after meeting my husband in 1999, we had the opportunity to move all over the US and to Texas twice.  There is a bumper sticker that says "I wasn't born in Texas, but got here as soon as I could."  This pretty much sums me up.  I love all things Texas including the food, the people and the Texas Rangers!

My husband, Kevin and I  have one daughter, Autumn, who graduated from Aubrey High School in June.  Autumn's sport is rodeo.  So we spent nearly every weekend of her four years of high school at one horse event or another.  She received a full ride scholarship to Texas A&M Commerce, where she will start this year, and intends to continue following her rodeo passions at the collegiate level.

I like to laugh (sometimes at myself), spend time outdoors (except for bugs), and make memories with my family and friends.
We are big animal lovers! We have five horses, two barn cats and three dogs; Bojangles, Myla and Nick Foles. Go Eagles!

I LOVE coming to work everyday! I love learning and there's no better place than with the students and staff of Aubrey ISD.  I give my best effort to making each day just as meaningful for them.
