Howdy! I am thirlled to teach your young chapperal this year. Aubrey is a fast-growing district which embodies small-town pride for many great reasons, and I am privileged to be part of the Chapperal Family.

I have been working in education for over ten years. From the Universtity of North Texas, I have earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Language Arts and Secondary Education and a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. I currently hold Texas certificates for ELA 8-12, Special Education, and ESL. This fall semester, I will complete requirements for the Principal as Instructional Leader certificate. I look forward to putting my learning to use for your child this school year.

What I love most about teaching 8th grade is being able to walk alongside my students and families during this crazy, unique, and unforgettable time in their lives. Finding opportunities in the curriculum to fulfill kids' developmental need to assert greater independence and focus on their identity and peer relationships is a major focus of my practice.
