  • Denton County Sheriff's Office Job Fair is Saturday, May 15

    The Denton County Sheriff's Office is holding a job fair on Saturday, May 15 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at 127 N. Woodrow Lane in Denton. We will have computers available for applying online as well as onsite interviews.   • Dual Credit Form Deadline is April 23

    The dual credit form deadline is April 23. Returning students must have given Mrs. Holloway a copy of completed NCTC Registration form. Students new to dual credit must have applied to NCTC or TWU, emailed Mrs. Holloway about application being submitted, given Mrs. Holloway a coy of TSI, ACT or SAT scores and given Mrs. Holloway a copy of completed NCTC/TWU registration form.

  • Presentations in April and May for Families 
    Through our partnership with Grant Halliburton Foundation we have arranged for some really exciting presentations to help us learn new ways to support our students and children. We have all felt the stress of this past year, including our youth. 
     
    Please look over the descriptions of these two programs and click on the registration link(s) if you would like to attend. There is limited space in each program, so please be sure to register early if you are interested.  Once your registration is complete you will receive a link to the presentation.

  • Apply for US Naval Academy Summer STEM Camp and Summer Seminar

    Apply for the US Naval Academy world-clas Summer STEM Camp and Summer Seminar this coming June in a virtual format. The Summer STEM program is (https://www.usna.edu/Admissions/Programs/STEM.php) is for current 8th, 9th and 10th graders, while the Summer Seminar (https://www.usna.edu/Admissions/Programs/NASS.php) is for current 11th graders. There is a fee associated with each, but there are scholarships available. The fee includes USNA apparel and program materials.

  • New Scholarship Opportunity for Students Entering NCTC

    The NCTC Honors Program has a new scholarship opportunity for students who are graduating from high school this May and will be entering NCTC in Fall 2021. The NCTC Freshman Merit Scholarships provide financial awards ($500 - $1000) to academically talented incoming students.  Students should apply for this competitive scholarship at scholarships.nctc.edu.  When completing the application, students should complete the portion that indicates they are interested in being considered for Honors Program Scholarships.

  • UNT Has Extended Freshman Admissions Priority Date

    We have just learned UNT has officially extended the Freshman Admissions Priority date, and Freshman Excellence Scholarship deadline for Fall 2021 to May 1, 2021.  Students admitted to UNT before May 1 will still be eligible for full scholarship consideration.

  • DFW Regional Network To Host College Fair

    Dallas-Fort Worth Area Regional Network (DARN) is hosting the virtual SWING for schools in North Texas and Oklahoma on Thursday, Feb. 25 from 6-7 p.m. A SWING is a DARN Signature Event, which focuses on the connection of college representatives and juniors. They take place every Spring, and are a compact version of a typical fair.  In keeping with the spirit of SWINGs, this will be organized in a college-fair like format.

    Please check out the Aubrey High School Scholarship and Opportunity Bulletin. There are some recent scholarships that do not provide a website to print an application. Students are encouraged to email Mrs. Holloway (sholloway@aubreyisd.net) for a copy of those applications.

  • High School Aerospace Scholars for Juniors 

    NASA wants today’s students to become the engineers, scientists, researchers and innovators of tomorrow. High School Aerospace Scholars offers a one-of-a-kind experience for Texas high school students to explore the possibilities of a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) related major or career. The adventure starts this fall with an online course. Highest achieving students earn the opportunity to attend the onsite summer experience at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX.

    Students are required to complete the Letter Of Recommendation Request form and attach a copy of their high school resume, before they request that Mrs. Holloway write a letter of recommendation.

  • Transcript Requests 

    Transcript requests go to Mrs. Knapp, our AHS Registrar, in the front office. There is a hard copy Transcript Request Form to complete and return to Mrs. Knapp. We will also accept a specific college transcript request form signed by a student.

  • Transcript Requests Via SENDU 

    Students requesting a transcript via SENDU, please remember that this also includes a requirement that the counselor complete a Secondary School Report. Within that Secondary School Report is a section to upload a letter of recommendation. Students need to complete a high school resume and attach it to the Letter of Recommendation Request form for this information to be uploaded/sent to your college(s) of choice.
