The Aubrey Independent School District is hosting a Chaparral Showcase to make connections and build community on Saturday, Aug. 7 at Fuller Elementary. The event will be held in various locations inside Fuller Elementary from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The showcase is open to the entire Aubrey ISD community, including new and returning families. The goal of the showcase is to connect families with local businesses, services and resources in the community.
At the event, families can purchase district t-shirts, sign up for library cards, connect with booster clubs and sign up to volunteer with local groups. Families can learn about local activities and clubs that their children can get involved with. Area dentists, banks, veterinarians, restaurants and community counseling providers will also be a part of the Showcase. City officials, and area fire and police departments will be on hand.
District staff will be in attendance to meet with parents and students.
Aubrey Pharmacy is holding a vaccine clinic at the Showcase for children and adults. Interested parties must register by Friday, July 30 by filling a Google form on the Aubrey ISD website. Vaccines will include back-to-school shots, TDAP, meningitis, shingles, pneumonia as well as others. Insurance will be billed.
Fuller Elementary is located at 10825 Quicksilver Blvd. in Aubrey.
