Four AHS Football Players Named Academic All-State
Four Aubrey High School football players were named to the Texas High School Coaches Association Academic All-State Team.
Jaxon Holder was named to the elite team, Bobby James was named first team, and James Perry and Trenton Hardin were named honorable mention.
The THSCA Academic All-State Teams recognize high school athletes who excel in the following categories: GPA, class rank and ACT/SAT score.
The Aubrey High School football team finished the 2020 season with an 11-2 record. The Chaparrals won the district title with a 4-0 record, including a win against Celina. Aubrey advanced to the third round of the playoffs, wining the bi-district and area round championships.
The Chaparrals were recognized with 23 selections to the District 4-4A D2 team. Aubrey took seven of the nine superlatives. The Aubrey coaching staff was named coaching staff of the year.
