Important information for the 2020-21 school year:
Letter to parents:
State law requires students in Texas schools to be immunized against certain vaccine-preventable diseases. This letter is to inform you of where you can obtain information about which vaccines your child needs to attend school and also to remind you to get your child’s vaccinations early— before the busy back-to-school season. Getting your child vaccinated not only protects your child’s health, but also that of the community.

Texas Immunization Information and Requirements
Texas school and child-care facility immunization requirements are determined by the state legislature and set by the Texas Department of State Health Services, in conjunction with the Texas Education Agency.
Maintaining adequate immunization rates in schools is critical to preventing disease outbreaks and ensuring the health of Texas children.

Exemption from Immunizations:
If exemption from immunizations is the choice made by your family, please understand the requirements and implications. It may take up to 7-10 business days to receive an affidavit from the State of Texas. Please call, Sandi Underwood, Aubrey ISD Nurse, with any questions.
