The Aubrey Education Foundation 25th Annual Silver Soirée Gala took place at the University of North Texas Gateway Center in Denton on March 21, 2026. The event featured food, fun and fundraising via live and silent auctions. During the gala, Aubrey ISD legends Terrie McNabb and Ron Bullock were inducted into the Chaparral Elite.

National Theatre in Our Schools Month

Aubrey ISD art teachers Shelby Kennedy and Sheena LeMay-Nelssen, along with OMS student teacher Emily Chilton, attended the National Art Education Association Conference in Chicago from March 5-7.
The group collaborated with fellow art educators and artists and returned with new ideas to implement in the classroom.

It is with heavy hearts that we share news of the death of McNabb Middle School paraprofessional David Denton. Denton joined Aubrey ISD in November 2025. He died in a golf cart accident this past weekend.
Please keep the Denton family and our school community in your prayers.

Aubrey ISD staff return Monday, March 16, with students returning to campus Tuesday, March 17. We look forward to seeing everyone back after a great Spring Break!

Congratulations to Owens Middle School 8th grader Zander Marksman for being featured in the 380Guide, North Texas’ local lifestyle and community magazine, as a Platinum Ford Community Student Champion! This new feature in the 380Guide highlights outstanding students within local school districts. The feature says this about Zander:
Zander Marksman is a standout example of what it means to be a well-rounded student leader. Strong academically and rich in personal character, Zander is always seeking opportunities to grow-whether through leadership programs on campus or enrichment opportunities beyond
the classroom.
Known for his curiosity and initiative, Zander consistently volunteers to help teachers and peers alike. His willingness to serve, paired with his drive to learn, makes him a valued presence at Owens Middle School and a student with a bright future
ahead.

What is the Chaparral Course Connection Program?
The Chaparral Course Connection is Aubrey ISD’s Virtual and Hybrid Program, designed to provide flexible learning options while maintaining the academic expectations of Aubrey High School. The program is open to Aubrey ISD students in grades 9–12 on track in their graduation plan. Students interested in the program who reside outside of Aubrey ISD must complete the inter-district registration process prior to virtual enrollment.
