Aubrey FFA Members Return Inspired After 98th National Convention
Eight Students Gain Leadership Training and Career Exposure During Week-Long Trip.
INDIANAPOLIS, IN —
Aubrey FFA announced the successful participation of eight student members and two advisors at the 98th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis, IN. Held earlier this week, the convention serves as one of the largest annual student gatherings in the country, providing unparalleled opportunities for career development, leadership training, and networking for the future leaders of agriculture.
The Aubrey FFA delegation engaged in numerous educational sessions, including a powerful keynote address from motivational speaker A’ric Jackson, who challenged students to lead with purpose and passion. Students spent time navigating the massive FFA Expo, connecting directly with colleges and major agricultural businesses, and honing essential soft skills in specialized leadership development workshops.
"This convention is an unparalleled opportunity for our students to connect their classroom learning to the future of agriculture," said Chelsea Fewell, Advisor. "The experience, from touring a logistics hub to hearing from industry leaders, truly sharpens their vision for purposeful leadership and validates the hard work they put in every day."
Beyond the convention floor, the students expanded their understanding of the supply chain with a tour of the Case New Holland (CNH) Master Depot in Lebanon, IN. The group also took advantage of cultural and team-building activities, including a visit to the Indianapolis Zoo, trying their hand at duckpin bowling, and exploring the historic Monument Circle downtown. Aubrey FFA extends its gratitude to the Apgar-Castiglione family for hosting an amazing seafood dinner at Salt on Mass, and to Dairy Solutions for treating the group to a fun meal at Buca di Beppo, both of which enriched the students’ travel experience.
Aubrey ISD’s continued support in allowing students to travel out of state for these experiences is invaluable to the organization's mission of developing premier leadership, personal growth, and career success.
Founded in 1967, Aubrey FFA is the local chapter of the National FFA Organization, dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. Currently, Aubrey ISD has 422 members.
