At a special board meeting on April 1, 2026, the Aubrey ISD Board of Trustees approved the hiring of the following new Aubrey ISD district leaders:
Dr. Kendra L. Pittman - Assistant Superintendent of Leadership
Dr. Pittman holds a Doctor of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies degree from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, a Master of Arts from Asia Pacific Theological Seminary (APTS) in the Philippines and a Bachelor of Science from Southwestern Assemblies of God University (currently Nelson University) in Waxahachie. Dr. Pittman's education career spans over two decades, most recently serving as Superintendent in Peaster ISD, with additional roles ranging from teacher, instructional coach, athletic coach, assistant principal, principal, dean of instruction, bilingual/ESL coordinator, assistant superintendent of curriculum & instruction and associate superintendent among Fort Worth, Conroe, Houston, Willis and Royal ISDs.
Dr. Brian C. Walton - Chief Financial Officer
Dr. Walton holds a Doctor of Educational Ministry degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri, a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Haggard School of Theology in Azusa, California and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion/Christian Education from Taylor University in Upland, Indiana. For over two decades, Dr. Walton has held several administrative roles in church and school district finance, including as business manager in Dalhart ISD and most recently as Chief Financial Officer in Melissa ISD.
