On Friday, Sept. 22, 2023, Aubrey High School's football and volleyball teams played their first district games. The teams took the opportunity to recognize the importance of game officials by designating the evening as Officials Appreciation Night. Before the games started, an announcement expressing appreciation for the officials was read. Additionally, the officials were presented with goody bags containing Aubrey ISD swag. #OfficialsAppreciation @THSCAcoaches and @uiltexas

At the Sept. 20, 2023 regularly scheduled board meeting, the Aubrey ISD Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Sara McGee as assistant principal at Brockett Elementary School.
McGee holds a Master of Education degree in Reading Education from Texas Woman's University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language Arts from the University of North Texas. With an expansive list of campus and district involvement in intervention, coaching and improvement, McGee moves to assistant principal from a teacher facilitator role in Aubrey ISD, with prior experiences as a teacher, interventionist and instructional coach in Aubrey, Denton and Pilot Point ISDs and a virtual academy in Lewisville.

Today's showcase the artistic talents of AMS art teacher Ms. Norman's students. Their impressive works include origami creations, tie dye designs, and skillful drawings. #nationalartsineducation
On Monday, September 11, 2023, the inaugural meeting of the Aubrey ISD Aspiring Leader Academy was held. This first cohort consists of an impressive 40 Aubrey ISD staff members. Leading and developing the academy is Deputy Superintendent Terrie McNabb, who is passionate about nurturing future educational leaders in the district. The meeting started with greetings from Superintendent Dr. David Belding, followed by leadership lessons delivered by Assistant Superintendent Dr. Shannon Saylor.
