Fuller Elementary School

During the May 13, 2026, Aubrey ISD School Board meeting, Jody Gonzalez, who was recently re-elected to the Place 6 seat on the Aubrey ISD Board of Trustees, and Emily Doramus, who was elected to Place 7 replacing Dow, were sworn in for their three-year terms. During the meeting, Jim Milacek was voted board president, Jody Gonzalez as vice president, and Trey Duncan as secretary. Welcome Emily Doramus to the Aubrey ISD Board of Trustees!

During the May 13, 2026 Aubrey ISD school board meeting, trustee Colleen Dow, who did not seek re-election, was recognized for 15 years of service. In an emotional tribute, Aubrey ISD Superintendent Dr. Shannon Saylor shared memories of Dow throughout the years, honoring her commitment to students and staff. Thank you Colleen Dow for your years of service.

It’s been a week full of appreciation across Aubrey ISD, and Superintendent Dr. Shannon Saylor made sure the administrative team felt celebrated all week long — including a fun “happy hour” on Thursday, May 7 featuring Sonic drinks! Thank you, Dr. Saylor, for always showing your appreciation and leading with a servant’s heart. Aubrey ISD is fortunate to have your leadership.

Aubrey ISD Named 2026 National Beta District of Distinction Aubrey ISD has been recognized as a 2026 National Beta District of Distinction. This honor was awarded to 95 outstanding school districts. This prestigious recognition celebrates districts that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to academic excellence, leadership development, and service involvement through the full implementation of National Beta programs.

April 22: Administrative Professionals’ Day

Due to ongoing law enforcement activity and restricted neighborhood access regarding the hostage situation in Foree Ranch, as was the case this morning, Aubrey ISD will not be able to provide transportation to bus riders in the affected area this afternoon. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff.

We are aware of an active law enforcement situation in the Foree Ranch neighborhood within our community. Authorities have advised families in the immediate area to remain in their homes at this time. Out of an abundance of caution, any students directly impacted should not report to school today, and absences related to this situation will be excused. All campuses will remain open and operating on a normal schedule, as officials have confirmed the situation is contained to that specific area and does not pose a broader risk to our schools. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and share updates as needed. The safety of our students, staff, and families remains our top priority.
