Aubrey FFA to Host Livestock Show and Auction on April 12
The Aubrey FFA will host its annual Livestock Show and Auction on April 12, 2025, at the Aubrey FFA Barn, 415 Tisdell Lane. The event highlights student projects, showcases agricultural skills, and raises funds for scholarships and educational opportunities.
The schedule includes:
• Livestock Show (8 a.m.) – Students will present their animals and demonstrate showmanship.
• Ag Mechanics Competition (10 a.m.) – Participants will showcase skills through hands-on projects.
• Buyers Dinner (5 p.m.) – Hosted by the 2025 Aubrey FFA BBQ Team and Officer Team, this dinner offers an opportunity for networking and community engagement.
The event is open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend and support local students. Those interested in pre-registering for the auction can contact Mrs. Anderson.

Aubrey ISD Gifted & Talented program students from throughout the district presented unique projects related to how the brain works during The Brilliant Brain: A GT Showcase of Thought & Innovation at Brockett Elementary School on March 24, 2025.









Pre-registration for students entering pre-kindergarten for the 2025-26 school year will start on April 8, 2025. Aubrey ISD’s public pre-K program for eligible 4-year-olds is housed at Fuller and West Elementary schools. Pre-K Qualification & Enrollment events are scheduled for April 8, 21 and June 10, 2025. At the March board meeting this evening, West Elementary School Pledge Leaders were Madilyn Cantwell and Adrian Nazario.
Recognition:
• Aubrey High School Cheer was recognized for placing third at the UIL State competition in 4A-D1, marking the team’s first time competing in this division. The cheerleaders presented each board member with a medal, and Superintendent Dr. Shannon Saylor awarded each cheerleader a Chaparral Honor Badge.
• Aubrey High School football seniors Tyler Brown, Toby Davis, Brayden Hamilton, and Brock Temple were honored for All-State recognition and multiple achievements.

National Maintenance Worker Appreciation Day is celebrated on March 7th! It’s a day to recognize the hard work of our maintenance staff who keep our school buildings and campus grounds in good shape and safe for students and staff.


The second cohort of Aubrey ISD’s Aspiring Leader Academy is nearing its end. On Monday, March 2, cohort members took part in mock interviews. Graduation is next month on April 7, 2025!


Over the past few days, the Aubrey boys and girls golf teams competed in the Anna Invitational at Stone Creek Golf Club. Despite challenging conditions, all players showed significant improvement from their previous outing. They continue to learn from past mistakes and put together stronger rounds. We’re excited to keep building as the season progresses!
