Texas Independence Day marks the adoption of the Texas Declaration of Independence on March 2, 1836. On that day, Texas officially declared its independence and established the Republic of Texas.

We have worked really hard all season, and it has come down to the wire to see how many of our girls have made it to regionals. To qualify, lifters must finish among the top 12 in their respective weight classes within the region, with alternates selected for positions 13 through 15.
We are excited to announce that the following members of the Lady Chaps powerlifting team have qualified to compete at regionals next week. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 4 p.m. at Decatur High School in Decatur, Texas.

At the Feb. School Board Meeting, Officer Kevin Sheppard was sworn into the Aubrey ISD Police Department. Officer Sheppard joins the Aubrey ISD Police Department after serving eight years with the Cross Roads Police Department. Help us welcome him to the Aubrey ISD family.



All Aubrey ISD campuses will have an early release on Friday, Feb. 14. In addition, Monday, Feb. 17, will be a student holiday and a staff development day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 18.

Attendees traveled by school bus to the campus and enjoyed seeing students and teachers in action, touring the campus, snacks and more.
