The Lady Chaps defeated Ponder last night in 5 sets. We did some really good things tonight and played hard. Kylie Miller had a career night and led the way for us at the net. Ponder had a hard time stopping us through the middle tonight. Our outsides (Chloe and Abby) did a good job of keeping Ponder out of system with a lot of their swings. We did a good job at the net blocking after the first set. We didn't allow Ponder to just tool us around the net. We did a good job of executing our game plan at the serving line, and it paid off for us. It was a good warm up game for us, and really allowed us to work on some things that will help us as we move through the playoffs. We will be back in action on Tuesday, November 5th at 6:30 at we take on Hampton Prep. in the Bi-District round of the playoffs. The game will be at Ranchview High School.

The Lady Chaps defeated Sanger in three sets last night! We played very clean volleyball in sets one and three, with minimal unforced errors. In set two, we struggled with a few hitting errors, which gave a very scrappy Sanger team the chance to gain momentum and make it close. I’m proud of how we responded in the third set. Kynadi and Chloe led the offense well, while Baylee did a fantastic job setting up our hitters. Our serving also kept Sanger out of system.
We’ll be back in action on Tuesday, October 29th, for our final district game in Celina. JV plays at 5:00, followed by varsity. Come out and support your Lady Chaps!

The Lady Chaps defeated Lake Dallas last night in 3 sets. We were a little sluggish getting started in the first set and it took us some time to find our rhythm on offense. We finally found it about halfway through the first set, and we looked much more fluid in the 2nd and 3rd sets. Defensively, we did a good job moving our feet and chasing down balls. I was proud of our defensive effort tonight, especially from Sam, Gracie, Addy, Kynadi, and Baylee.
We’ll be back in action on Friday, October 18th, as we host Panther Creek. Varsity plays at 4:30, followed by JV. Come out and support your Lady Chaps! This will also be our Middle School Night.
