NATIONALS UPDATE
We are proud to announce that Hailey Warren and Makayla King have officially made school history. Competing at the International Thespian Excellence Awards (Thespys) National Finals, the duo earned a Superior rating in the Duet Dance category.
As if earning a Superior rating were not enough, Hailey and Makayla achieved another significant milestone when they received an exclusive callback audition for the Closing Ceremony Showcase. While they were not ultimately selected to perform in the showcase, being chosen for consideration among the nation’s top performers is an extraordinary honor.
To understand the magnitude of their accomplishment, consider the numbers:
• More than 15,000 students began this journey through regional and state competitions worldwide.
• Approximately 1,500 elite qualifiers advanced to the National Finals.
• Only a select group achieved the 18-20 point score range required to earn a Superior rating.
Most importantly, Hailey and Makayla are the first students in Aubrey High School history to achieve this national honor.
Girls, your dedication, talent, perseverance, and countless hours of rehearsal have officially put Troupe 5435 on the national map. Thank you for making history, setting a new standard of excellence, and inspiring every student who will step onto our stage in the years to come.
