I am really proud of how the kids came out and played this game today. Lots of energy but we got in foul trouble in the first half and had to adjust a little on defense. We came out in the 2nd half and executed well defensively which led to good scoring opportunities. We have a really tough game coming up on Monday at Denton High. Record Overall 2-0 -Coach Smith

Our Child Nutrition team, led by Adi Caballero, recently prepared a delicious Thanksgiving meal for our staff and students.
Did you know? Our child nutrition partner, Aramark, provides us with monthly limited time offers, allowing our students to try new menu items. This week, our students had the opportunity to taste a "Spicy Tzatziki Beef Gyro" at the HS and Middle School. The gyro consisted of whole grain flatbread, seasoned beef and potatoes, tomato cucumber salad, spicy tzatziki sauce, and feta cheese.

"The Aubrey Lady Chaps drop to 0-1 on the year with a 31-28 loss to Pottsboro. Score by quarters for Aubrey were 3, 9, 9, 7. Score by quarter for Pottsboro were 6, 6, 11, 8. Scorers for Aubrey were Shelby Harrington and Addy Cagle with 7 points each, Kynadi Hall with 6, Landry Gannon with 4, Brooklyn Weier with 3, and Abby Buxton with 1 point. Despite losing the game, I was very impressed with our effort after only 3 days of practice with everyone on the team. I thought we played very well defensively, but just struggled at times offensively. I was very pleased with the execution of our offenses, but we just need to do a better job of finishing around the basket. The Lady Chaps return to action today with games in Denison. The Lady Chaps will take on Denison at 11 a.m. and Northwest HS at 3 p.m." ~ Coach Gathright
