The Lady Chaps took on Caddo Mills in a bi-district matchup for the third consecutive year and, for the third time, came away victorious to claim their third bi-district championship.
Despite several injuries that led to a younger lineup, every player stepped up to the challenge. After a scoreless first half, junior captain Landry Gannon picked up the ball in her own half, beat multiple defenders and scored the opening goal.
The Lady Chaps elevated their play from there, with sophomores Kali Madden and Danielle Dominic-Etuk combining for two more goals.
The Lady Chaps will face Village Tech at 6 p.m. Monday, March 23, at Tommy Standridge Stadium, 1330 Valwood Parkway in Carrollton.

The Aubrey Education Foundation 25th Annual Silver Soirée Gala took place at the University of North Texas Gateway Center in Denton on March 21, 2026. Aubrey Baseball 2025 All-State Member Recognition by Coach Henry
Before Friday’s game, we took a moment to honor one of the outstanding student-athletes in our baseball program with a plaque that will be displayed at the field. Last season, Diego demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership and performance on the field. As the anchor behind the plate, he led our team with toughness, intelligence and a relentless work ethic every single day.
His outstanding season earned him one of the highest honors a high school baseball player can receive — a THSBCA first-team all-state selection.
Diego Tagliaferro put together an incredible season at the plate. He finished the year with a .412 batting average and a .545 on-base percentage, collecting 40 hits, including eight doubles, one triple and one home run. He also drove in 15 RBIs and scored 20 runs, consistently providing a spark for our offense while leading our defense from behind the plate.
This recognition is a testament not only to his talent, but also to the countless hours of preparation, his commitment to his teammates and the pride he takes in representing our program and community.
Please join us in congratulating Diego Tagliaferro, first-team all-state catcher, for an incredible 2025 season and this well-deserved honor.
Congratulations, Diego, and thank you for representing our program with excellence.
