At the March 18, 2026 regularly scheduled board meeting, the Aubrey ISD Board of Trustees approved the hiring of the following new Aubrey ISD district leader:
Dr. Heather Vandiver - Director of Human Resources
Dr. Vandiver holds a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Management from Capella University in Minneapolis, MS, a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches. Dr. Vandiver's teaching career began 17 years ago in Northwest ISD, including roles as fifth grade teacher, team leader, middle school English/language arts teacher, student support services manager of RTI, dyslexia and ESL programs, and middle school principal. She has served Aubrey ISD for the past four years as principal of McNabb (formerly Aubrey) Middle School.
