Aubrey ISD Welcomes New Leader graphic with McNabb Middle School Principal Jacob Garcia and Director of Secondary Curriculum, Instruction, and Learning Brandee Gallagher

At a special board meeting on April 29, 2026, the Aubrey ISD Board of Trustees approved the hiring of the following new Aubrey ISD district leaders:

Jacob Garcia - Principal, McNabb Middle School

Garcia holds a Master of Educational Leadership degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science from Texas State University in San Marcos. Garcia's education career began in Waelder ISD with additional experiences as a special education teacher, athletic director and assistant principal in Austin and Hays Consolidated ISDs. Garcia joins Aubrey ISD from an associate principal role in Terrell ISD.

Brandee Gallagher - Director of Secondary Curriculum, Instruction, and Learning

Gallagher holds a Master of Science degree in Curriculum Design, Instruction and Assessment from Walden University and a Bachelor of Arts in French and Spanish from the University of New Brunswick in Canada. Gallagher's teaching career began in Lubec, Maine over 25 years ago with the bulk of her career in Texas, including Arlington, Frisco and Aubrey ISDs as a French and Spanish teacher. She served as a teacher facilitator for six years in Aubrey ISD and most recently served as an assistant principal at West Elementary School.
