Aubrey Varsity Baseball picked up its first District 11-4A win against Panther Creek (13-2) in six innings. Branden West led the offense with three hits, including a double and four RBIs. Hank Nokes picked up the win on the mound, pitching five innings, allowing one earned run, and striking out four. The Chaps will play a non-district game tomorrow at 11:00 am at Krum before returning to District 11-4A play next Tuesday, March 19th, at Anna. **Baseball March 8-9:**
Aubrey Varsity Baseball dropped three games this weekend at the Northwest ISD Tournament. On Friday, the Chaps were defeated by Granbury (4-0) and Denton (9-2). On Saturday, the Chaps lost to a very good Grapevine team on a walk-off home run (6-4). Aubrey Baseball will return to District 11-4A play over Spring Break on Tuesday, March 12, at Van Alstyne and Friday, March 15, at Home vs Panther Creek. The JV will begin at 4:30 pm, and Varsity at 7:00 pm.

The Aubrey Chaparral/Lady Chaparral Track Teams competed in the Van Alstyne Panther Relays on Wednesday, March 6. Boys’ varsity team finished 1st overall and our JV Boys 2nd in their divisionrespectively. The Lady Chaps finished 3rd in both Varsity and the JV division.
