We prevented Ranchview from gaining momentum during the match, showcasing a strong team effort. Although we made a few hitting errors in the first set, we improved in sets two and three. It was a successful night to conclude our last district game of the season. We also honored our 4 seniors: Kaitlyn Walters, Annaleise Sevier, Olivia Starr, and Madison Temple. Aubrey vs Celina 25-15, 25-18, 20-25, 25-23 Record: 33-10 District: 8-1 Kills: Annaleise Sevier (19), Kynadi Hall (17), Chloe Miller (11), Abby Wright (7), Olivia Starr (5), Shelby Harrington (2) Blocks: Kynadi Hall (4), Annaleise Sevier (3), Chloe Miller (2), Abby Wright (1), Olivia Starr (1), Shelby Harrington (1) Digs: Kaitlyn Walters (25), Annaleise Sevier (23), Olivia Starr (15), Kynadi Hall (12), Baylee Hampton (11), Chloe Miller (5) Aces: Olivia Starr (1) Assists: Olivia Starr (31), Baylee Hampton (10), Kynadi Hall (3), Annaleise Sevier (3), Kaitlyn Walters (2) The Lady Chaps defeated Celina in four sets on Friday night. We did a great job in set one of starting fast and limiting our unforced errors. We carried that with us into the second set. We had a few more hitting errors in the second set, but we did a really good job of not allowing Celina to go on runs. We started too slow in the third set and allowed Celina to take an early lead. We finished the third set strong; we just couldn't make up the difference. We looked much more relaxed in the fourth set. I was very pleased with the urgency, energy, and determination that we played with throughout the match. We are tied with Celina for first in the district with one district game to go. We will play our last district match on Tuesday, October 24th as we host Ranchview. This will be our senior night, and we will honor our seniors Olivia Starr, Kaitlyn Walters, Annaleise Sevier, and Madison Temple before the JV game at 4:45 pm. Please come out and help us honor these wonderful seniors. JV will play at 5:00 pm, followed by varsity.

Aubrey vs Van Alstyne 24-26, 25-17, 25-20, 25-13 Record: 32- 10 District: 7- 1 Kills: Annaleise Sevier (28), Kynadi Hall (13), Chloe Miller (9), Abby Wright (6), Olivia Starr (2), Shelby Harrington (2) Blocks: Kynadi Hall (2), Annaleise Sevier (1), Shelby Harrington (1), Chloe Miller (1) Digs: Kaitlyn Walters (31), Annaleise Sevier (19), Baylee Hampton (19), Olivia Starr (16), Kynadi Hall (13), Chloe Miller (5), Shelby Harrington (4) Aces: Kynadi Hall (1), Baylee Hamtpn (1) Assists: Olivia Starr (41), Baylee Hampton (6), Kynadi Hall (4), Kaitlyn Walters (2) The Lady Chaps defeated Van Alstyne in four sets last night. We started the match out fast and looked really sharp and clean. We committed too many errors towards the end of the set to allow Van Alstyne to take the set. We started finding our rhythm in set two and played a much cleaner set. We continued that rhythm the rest of the way. We really found our rhythm in set 4 and controlled from start to finish of the set. We looked much more fluid on defense from start to finish of the match. We did a much better job after the first set of limiting our hitting mistakes as well. We did a really good job of getting every hitter involved in the offense. We will continue district play on Friday, as we travel to Celina to play. The varsity will play at 4:30, followed by the JV's.
