Lady Chaps defeat Hillsboro 10-0 to claim Area Championship
The Aubrey Lady Chaparrals softball team defeated Hillsboro 10-0 to win the Area Championship.
With the win, the Lady Chaps improve to 27-3 on the season and will face the winner of Caddo Mills and Carthage in the regional semifinals.
Mya Cherry earned the win in the circle, throwing five shutout innings while striking out 11 and allowing just one hit.

Aubrey Baseball Sweeps Ranchview, Sets Sights on Playoffs

AUBREY — Aubrey varsity baseball closed out its district series against Carrollton Ranchview with a doubleheader sweep Friday night. The Chaps took the first game 21-3 and followed with an 11-1 victory in the nightcap.
Cameron Sanders powered the offense in Game 1 with a grand slam, finishing with four RBIs. In Game 2, Sebastian Marin collected two hits, including a triple, and drove in three runs to lead the way.
The Chaps (16-13 overall, 7-5 District 10-4A) will move on to the UIL Class 4A, Division 2 playoffs next week, where they will face Sanger in the bi-district round.

Lady Chaps Defeat Bonham, Win Bi-District Championship
April 25, 2025 — The Lady Chaps defeated Bonham 9-0 in Game 2 of their Bi-District series to claim the Bi-District Championship. Mya Cherry was the winning pitcher, throwing seven shutout innings, allowing just two hits and striking out 16.
The Lady Chaps will now move on to face Hillsboro in the area round of the playoffs.
