Welcome to the 2025-26 school year!
AHS wants you to be aware of changes in parking and traffic flow due to construction. Bus riders will enter the loop from Spring Hill and use the new ramp at C Hall for both arrival and dismissal. Parent drop-offs will follow the green loop from Spring Hill. This loop allows students to exit safely and enter Door 21.
Athletic and student drivers may follow the orange or green loop to park in their assigned numbered space. The free parking pass they received matches their assigned space. No pass? Pick one up for free during lunch. We ask both walkers and drivers to be aware of traffic and pedestrian patterns.
Students with special needs will use the purple loop at the front of the school and enter through the front door. All other students may only use Door 21 or the bus door to enter the building.
Students arriving after first period due to having off first period may only enter through Door 21. These students will be allowed in during the passing period only, as all doors must be monitored. If you arrive late to campus, you must enter through the front door.
Students should know where their first class is prior to entering the building. Under a new Texas state law, personal communication devices may not be used during the school day. Students should consult or write down their schedules for the first day.
If your student has newly registered, you will receive an email to schedule a time to meet with the counselors for schedule selection.
If your student has any questions tomorrow, many staff members will be available to assist.

Aubrey ISD Family,
Please be aware of the following transportation reminders for the first few days of school:
Morning Pick Up:
Bus route pick up times are approximate. During the first few days, buses may be running behind schedule.
If your student is not able to get on a bus due to overcrowding, Aubrey ISD Transportation will have buses going around to pick up additional students.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact your child’s campus or the transportation department.
Afternoon Drop Off:
Campus staff will have updated bus rosters to assist with loading students on the correct route in the afternoon.
Buses may run behind schedule due to additional students on routes.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact your child’s campus or the transportation department.

School starts tomorrow, Aug. 13 — slow down, stay alert, and follow the law to keep kids safe. In 2024, Texas had 781 school zone crashes, many caused by speeding and driver inattention. Together, we can keep our Chaps safe.

Aubrey High School:
We are excited to welcome you to Meet the Teacher Night. Please see our parking plan below. If arriving from Spring Hill, please turn right to follow the lane headed on the west side of the school (near the horses). This will take you toward the back of the campus to park in student parking. If arriving from Pine Ridge, please park in the student parking area. Door 21 will be open for you, as well as the front door to the building. Please note the reserved parking sections for our staff as indicated on the map. Aubrey ISD is kicking off the school year with a focus on strong attendance — because when students show, they grow! Our goal is for every student to maintain at least a 95% attendance rate this year. That means missing no more than nine days all year!
Every day counts.
Every class matters.
Every student benefits.
Let’s make this year the best one yet — strive for 95!

On July 24, a ribbon cutting was held at Owens Middle School. Owens is the second middle school in Aubrey ISD and is named after Evalois Owens, a 40-year district employee and founder of the Aubrey Education Foundation. On Aug. 13, it will welcome students through its doors. #ChapsBuildingGreatness #ChapsGoBack25 See more event pictures: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1CViMhDT54/?mibextid=wwXIfr

New Personal Communications Device Law
Texas House Bill 1481, a new state law, will take effect during the 2025-26 school year and will directly impact student personal communication devices during instructional hours (defined as first bell to last bell).
Exceptions are possible with documented medical needs, IEP or 504 accommodations, or other health and safety requirements as outlined by the law.
Students may not use personal cellphones, tablets, smartwatches, earbuds or similar devices during instructional hours. This includes lunch, recess and passing periods.
Please begin talking to your child now about this upcoming change. Your support will help us create a more focused learning environment.
Aubrey ISD will share more information as the plan is developed.
