Lady Chaps Shut Out Panther Creek, Secure Second in District
The Lady Chaps took on playoff-bound Panther Creek in what felt like gale-force winds. Despite the conditions, Aubrey delivered a strong defensive performance in the first half. Junior goalkeeper Lexis Jones was a game-changer, making two pivotal saves—one coming off her line on a breakaway and another at full extension on a free kick to deny a certain goal. She finished the match with 12 saves and a clean sheet.
With limited offensive chances in the first half, junior captain Brynnlee Bohannon made the most of an opportunity, delivering a perfectly timed pass to senior captain Macy Childers, who split the defenders and finished with composure to put Aubrey up 1-0. Fifteen minutes later, freshman Daniella Dominic-Etuk doubled the lead with a top-tier side volley off a tap-down pass from Bohannon.
The 2-0 victory brings the Lady Chaps’ district record to 9-3, securing a second-place finish. The team will take the field again on March 17 at 5 p.m. at Chaparral Stadium for a warm-up match against Lindale as they prepare for the playoffs.
Game Stats:
GK Jr. Lexis Jones – 12 saves, 0 goals allowed
Sr. Macy Childers – 1 goal
Fr. Daniella Dominic-Etuk – 1 goal
Jr. Brynnlee Bohannon – 2 assists

Soccer Score Report – Tuesday, March 5
Boys Soccer
The Aubrey boys soccer team faced Frisco Panther Creek in their final game of the 2025 season. In a back-and-forth match played in windy conditions, the boys battled against an experienced Panther Creek squad that ultimately secured a 1-0 victory midway through the second half.
Aubrey’s backline stood strong, with Osvaldo organizing the defense and Shukurani, Peyton, and Carlos making key tackles while pushing the ball into the midfield. Panther Creek had numerous set-piece opportunities, but the Aubrey defense held firm. The lone goal came off a free kick, with an unfortunate missed clearance due to the wind.
With five minutes left, Aubrey came inches from equalizing, hitting the bottom of the crossbar but failing to find the back of the net. The effort was valiant and showed significant improvement from the Pilot Point draw. A huge thank-you to our seniors for laying the foundation for what promises to be a special program in the years ahead.

Aubrey Boys Soccer Draws with Pilot Point, Eyes Historic Playoff Berth The Aubrey boys soccer team battled Pilot Point to a 0-0 tie last night. Despite creating multiple scoring opportunities, the Chaps were unable to break through as Pilot Point held firm, sitting in a low defensive block and remaining compact. Credit to the Bearcats for their strong response following a 6-1 loss to Panther Creek earlier in the week. Although Aubrey won in penalty kicks, the match will be recorded as a draw in MaxPreps standings. The Chaps now have a chance to make history. On Tuesday at Chaparral Stadium, they will play for their first-ever playoff berth in front of Aubrey Youth and what is expected to be a loud, energetic home crowd. Come pack the stadium and support your Aubrey Chaparrals in this pivotal match!

Lady Chaps Soccer Clinches Playoff Spot with Win Over Pilot Point
On the final day of February, the Lady Chaps soccer team traveled to Pilot Point to face the Lady Cats. With a victory, Aubrey would secure a playoff spot for the second consecutive year.
The Lady Chaps opened the scoring in the first 10 minutes, as freshman Kali Madden delivered a well-placed pass to fellow freshman Daniella Dominic-Etuk, who found the back of the net. Pilot Point responded by defending tightly, preventing Aubrey from adding to their lead before halftime.
After halftime adjustments, senior Macy Childers scored two quick goals to extend the lead. The first goal came off an assist from freshman Eva Jones, while the second was a direct strike off a corner kick. With a three-goal advantage and 30 minutes remaining, the coaching staff rotated in underclassmen and JV call-ups to gain valuable postseason experience.
With the win, the Lady Chaps clinched the top seed in Division 2. Playoff opponent details are yet to be determined. The Lady Chaps will host Panther Creek on Tuesday for their final regular season game.
Stats:
• Daniella Dominic-Etuk – 1 goal
• Macy Childers – 2 goals
• Kali Madden – 1 assist
