Meet Our District Library Staff: Name: Allison French (Pictured) Campus: All-District Librarian Allison has lived in Aubrey for 13 years. This is her 11th year in Aubrey ISD and her 3rd year as the District Librarian. My favorite part about working in the library: “I LOVE doing read-alouds with students and seeing how excited they get about a new story! I also enjoy making book recommendations and helping students find books they fall in love with. I am blessed to serve all the students and staff in Aubrey ISD!” Introductions continued in comments: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1B7DKaMMb4/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Polen Advances to Regionals, Bartel Finishes Strong at District 9-4A Championship
The past two days, the Aubrey boys golf team competed in the District 9-4A Championship at Westridge Golf Club. All players battled through a tough course, facing brutal winds on Day 2. I was proud of how they fought through adversity and represented Aubrey ISD in a professional manner.
Luke Bartel, the team’s lone senior, placed eighth overall with a two-day total of 179. Luke has been a key part of our golf program for the past three years and will be greatly missed.
Congratulations to Jackson Polen, who is advancing to the regional tournament! He posted a two-day total of 173, finishing fifth overall. After a rough start on Day 2, Jackson turned it up on hole 8, playing just five over the rest of the way. We are excited to watch him compete in the regional championship at Van Zandt Country Club in Canton!

Lady Chaps Soccer Claims Back-to-Back Area Championship
The Lady Chaps soccer (LCS) team secured their second consecutive Area championship with a dominant 5-0 victory. LCS wasted no time, netting all five goals in the first half before the game was called due to inclement weather.
Senior Macy C. and freshman Daniella D. opened the scoring, continuing their strong postseason connection. Two minutes later, Macy C. capitalized on a long through ball from junior Brynnlee B. Brynnlee then set up freshman Kali M. for her first career playoff goal before adding a goal of her own off a combination play with Alexis Q. The final score came when Alexis Q. tapped in a rebound from a shot by Kali M.
Halftime brought a weather delay due to a thunderstorm, and after a brief attempt to resume play, officials made the call to end the game at 5-0 rather than waiting out further lightning delays.
LCS will face the Athens Lady Hornets in the Regional Semi-Finals on Friday, March 28, at 6 p.m. at Better Life Stadium in Forney, Texas (North Forney High School).
Game Stats
• Macy C. – 1 Goal, 1 Assist
• Brynnlee B. – 1 Goal, 2 Assists
• Kali M. – 1 Goal, 1 Assist
• Alexis Q. – 1 Goal, 1 Assist
• Daniella D. – 1 Goal
• Lexis J. (GK) – 7th Shutout of the Year

Weekly Golf Recap
Boys – Timber Creek Invitational at Iron Horse
The team showed significant improvement from their previous outing. Iron Horse Golf Course requires precise shot placement, making smart play essential for success. All players did a great job executing this strategy, gaining a confidence boost ahead of next week’s district tournament. The team finished third out of 15 teams.
Individual Results:
• Jackson Polen – 83 (7th overall)
• Luke Bartel – 85 (10th overall)
• Luke Orringderff – 87
• Cole Travascio – 91
Girls – District Tournament at Lake Park
Freshman Yuri was the team’s lone girls golfer this season and represented LCS well. After a slow start on Day 1, she made adjustments and finished strong. Learning from her first-round mistakes, she improved by nine strokes on Day 2, posting a 93. Her two-day total of 197 secured a 10th-place finish.
With three more years ahead, the future is bright for this rising Lady Chaps golfer!
