Cameron Sanders led the offense for the Chaps, going 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Toby Davis, Luke Hellman, and Tyler Winten also contributed at the plate, each driving in a run. The Lady Chaps clinched their third consecutive district championship with a hard-fought 1-0 win in eight innings over Krum. With the win, the Lady Chaps improve to 9-0 in district play and 22-2 overall. Addison White and Sophia Place came up big in the eighth inning. Lady Chaps’ Historic Season Marks the Beginning of Great Things Coach Baker reports: What a historic season it was for the Lady Chaps soccer program. Though it ended with a loss in the Class 4A Division II state semifinal to a defensively strong Randall High School, the team gave it everything they had. The Lady Chaps battled hard Friday night in a tightly contested match, with few scoring chances for either side. Ultimately, a well-placed free kick proved to be the difference, and despite their best efforts, the Lady Chaps were unable to find an equalizer. It was an incredible run for the program, especially in just its second year of UIL eligibility. The team posted an 18-4 record, scored 90 goals while allowing just 33, finished second in district and advanced to the fifth round of the playoffs — all improvements from last season. We extend our sincere thanks to all the parents and community members who showed up in support throughout the year. Special appreciation goes to the Aubrey ISD administration for its continued support. And to our six seniors — thank you for helping build this program from the ground up. Your leadership has laid the foundation and set the standard for all future Lady Chaps to follow.

The Brockett Beta Club hosted a service project in March called “Hydrate Your Heroes,” during which the campus collected donations of water and Gatorade for the Aubrey Police Department.

National Assistant Principals Week is celebrated every year from April 7-11 to honor and appreciate the impact assistant principals have on student achievement and the overall success of schools.

Paraprofessional Appreciation Day is celebrated on the first Wednesday of April each year to recognize the incredible work of paraprofessionals like teacher aides and instructional assistants who support both students and teachers every day.

Polen Advances to Regionals, Bartel Finishes Strong at District 9-4A Championship The past two days, the Aubrey boys golf team competed in the District 9-4A Championship at Westridge Golf Club. All players battled through a tough course, facing brutal winds on Day 2. I was proud of how they fought through adversity and represented Aubrey ISD in a professional manner. Luke Bartel, the team’s lone senior, placed eighth overall with a two-day total of 179. Luke has been a key part of our golf program for the past three years and will be greatly missed. Congratulations to Jackson Polen, who is advancing to the regional tournament! He posted a two-day total of 173, finishing fifth overall. After a rough start on Day 2, Jackson turned it up on hole 8, playing just five over the rest of the way. We are excited to watch him compete in the regional championship at Van Zandt Country Club in Canton!
